Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Noisy. Odours. Dusty. Work setting: Machinery installation. Maintenance. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Service. Repair. Machine set-up. Shopwork. Tasks: Assemble mechanical equipment. Assemble stationary industrial machinery. Coach and instruct apprentices. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Operate machining tools to fabricate parts. Installing machinery and equipment. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning. Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair. Calibrate products using hand tools. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification. Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement. Forklift Operator Certification. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Instrument experience: Mechanical. Equipment and machinery experience: Automated and robotic system. Hydraulic system. Lathes and other machining tools. Pneumatic system. Power tools. Tool grinders. Area of specialization: Renovating and restoring. Rigging and handling. Troubleshooting. Bearing, seals and packing. Tasks
