Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Confined spaces. Noisy. Work setting: Remote location. Manufacture. Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC). Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate. Type of materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals. Welding techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG). Flux core arc welding (FCAW). Multipass. Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine. Gas welding machine. Area of specialization: Custom fabrication. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Gloves. Welding helmet. Personal suitability: Team player.
