*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of dental procedures and excellent communication skills. *Responsibilities* * Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings and various treatments. * Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Manage patient records using Abledent software, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. * Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. * Maintain inventory of dental supplies and place orders when necessary. * Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care. *Qualifications* * Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus. * Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry. * Certification in dental assisting is highly desirable. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. * Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Experience with CAD software is an asset but not required. * A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and commitment to providing excellent patient care are essential.
