NSC Minerals Ltd. was established in 1988, Since then, we have grown to become a major supplier of minerals, such as Salt and Calcium Chloride in Western Canada and the North and Midwest regions of the United States. In 2020, NSC was purchased by Stone Canyon Industry Holdings and we are now part of a larger group of companies that includes Windsor Salt and Morton Salt. Our head office is located in Saskatoon, SK and we have operating plants in Rocanville, SK, Vanscoy, SK and Brooks, AB. We have a packaging plant just outside of Saskatoon, SK and bulk inventory storage in Alberta and Manitoba. Along with our focus on safety and the environment, we have a dedicated employee base, solid logistics network and a committed customer base. We are looking for a Welder at our Vanscoy plant which is near the Nutrien Potash Mine located 30km southwest of Saskatoon on Highway #7. The Welder is responsible for ensuring equipment on site is in good working order including repairing, fabricating and replacing welded steel components as needed. Assists Plant Maintenance in performing inspections and preventative maintenance in compliance with safety standards and equipment specifications. Requirements: - CWB welding certification with the ability to weld flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Candidates who are qualified to be certified may also be considered.- Previous experience welding in an industrial or agricultural production facility- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with others on site- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons- Strong time management and organization skills We provide: - Competitive compensation- Group benefits program and RRSP plan- PPE allowance that can be used for boots and clothing- LocationVanscoy, SK
