We are looking for reliable and self-motivated apprentice welders. To be successful in this role you must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team. If you are self-motivated, take ownership of your role, and love to learn, this is a position is for you. Wage is based on experience. ResponsibilitiesWelding out fitted steel componentsHandling materials on-site, within the shop, and outdoors as requiredUse of overhead cranes and jib cranesUse of basic hand tools and power hand tools (i.e. grinders, levels, die grinder, wrench)Cutting and grinding of various metalsAssisting welders and fabricators with tasksBasic housekeeping duties (clean site and equipment)Safe work practices The Ideal CandidatePossess valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle to get to and from workOrganizational abilitiesExperience with mig welding requiredPrior experience with overhead cranes and rigging an assetPrior experience operating forklift an assetWilling to work in an industrial environmentExperience with tasks involving physical labour, the use of tools, and heavy liftingBe safety conscious, reliable, motivated, and willingness to learnPunctual BenefitsRPP programBoot allowanceBirthday paid day off Schedule:Monday to Friday 8:00 - 4:30
