Blackbird Security is seeking to hire Tactical Security Guards in *Penticton, BC* for a variety of sites. *What you will do* * Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft * Identify, monitor and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise * Document theft and other security violations * Patrol the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner * Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity * Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents * Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly * Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons * Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required *The Ideal Candidate* * A Valid Security License * A keen interest in asset protection * Willing to stand/ patrol for the duration of the shift * Previous security experience in a retail environment * Strong communication skills, both written and spoken. * Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills? * Ability to work without close supervision * Must be willing and comfortable to stop theft * Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters * Advanced Security Training - authorization to carry handcuffs *What?s it for you?* * Competitive wages * Flexible schedules * Paid training and growth opportunities to succeed in your role * Career advancement opportunities through promotion from within * Recognition programs and bonuses * Goodlife Fitness Gym Membership - 25% discount on all membership fees (all tiers), $0 enrollment fees and share with one family member (post completion of the probationary period) _*About Blackbird Security*_ _Make a difference by joining Canada?s fastest- growing National Security Company.
