*POSITION SUMMARY:*
Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) represents manufacturers from across the country to help their businesses grow. Managed by CME, Ontario Made is a free branding program for manufacturers and retailers alike to promote the many world-class goods that are made across Ontario. The program aims to help businesses and consumers identify Ontario Made products, celebrate what is Ontario Made, and support the purchase of locally made products.
We are looking for an Ontario Made Manufacturing Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting local outreach to Ontario manufacturers to increase participation in the Ontario Made program. The manufacturing coordinator will also research and identify products and engage with organizations who produce goods in Ontario to identify and match B2B opportunities. The coordinator will work together with the Ontario Made team to ensure deliverables for the program are being met in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLIITIES
* Research, identify and engage with local manufacturing companies within Ontario to increase engagement and participation for the ON Made program;
* Identify manufacturers? capabilities and procurement needs to provide B2B matchmaking connections;
* Work within a cross-functional team to ensure the program deliverables are met within a timely manner;
* Communicate effectively with external stakeholders and program eligible registrants to demonstrate the value proposition of the program;
* Provide guidance to organizations who want to participate in the program on how to enroll on the Ontario Made website;
* Produce program reports as required to ensure registrant data is captured accordingly; and,
* Other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
* College degree or diploma in Business Development or related discipline;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Passionate about local business and manufacturing;
* 1-3 years? experience working within a team to meet deliverables on time;
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; including MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel;
* Excellent writing, editing and proofing skills with a strong attention to detail ability;
* A strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines; and,
* Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with inter-departmental teams and external stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
