The Position<p>As an Associate Assistant Superintendent, and an essential member of the senior leadership team, you<p>will report directly to the Superintendent in all areas of teaching, learning, and professional<p>development. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of observable impact<p>planning in alignment with our district priorities of Inspiring Thinking, Cultivating Well-Being, and<p>Building Relationships through the lens of our Catholic faith.<p>Required Education and Recommended Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience<p>? Active involvement in community parish<p>? Master?s Degree in an educational field<p>? Must hold, or be eligible for a(n) NWT Teaching Certificate<p>? Minimum of five years experience as a school principal or equivalent leadership experience<p>? Proven success in curriculum-related initiatives and program development<p>? Expert knowledge of literacy and numeracy instruction from JK-12<p>? Deep understanding and experience in assessment practices<p>? Proven experience in the use of data for school improvement<p>? Knowledge of the British Columbia curriculum would be an asset<p>? Evidence of fostering respectful learning environments that are inclusive of all people<p>? Experience in building relationships with Indigenous peoples, organizations, and communities<p><p>Required Skills and Abilities<p>? Exceptional communication and facilitation skills<p>? Personal attributes and skills that demonstrate a strong focus on team<p>? Ability to lead, engage, and collaborate with staff, parents, and the community<p>? Commitment to personal growth and professional development<p>Our District<p>Yellowknife Catholic Schools has been providing quality education to northern students for sixty-five<p>years. We are the only faith-based district in the Northwest Territories. Although we are a Catholic school<p>district, we welcome families of all faiths.
