Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Hospital medical laboratories. Tasks: Document observations on patients' specimens. Examine the results of the tests. Study blood cells and other tissues. Prepare tissue sections for microscopic examinations. Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses. Clean and maintain medical laboratory and laboratory equipment. Conduct quality control assessment of testing techniques. Set up medical laboratory equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS). Computer and technology knowledge: MEDITECH. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail.
