*Junior / Intermediate Structural Engineer * Sorensen Trilogy Engineering Ltd. We provide service to private and public sector clients on a wide variety of building and bridge projects throughout Western Canada. A structured mentorship program and professional development are key attributes of our corporate structure; additionally, the continued expansion of our company provides opportunities for personal and career progression. *The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to Nanaimo or Victoria; this is not a remote position - this is a position requiring the employee to be in the office.* *Key Responsibilities: * * Provide structural engineering on a wide variety of building and bridge projects in western Canada. * Work with and oversee technicians and technologists in the preparation of structural documents. * Coordination with the design team * Perform structural field reviews and attend site meetings during construction. * Prepare structural specifications and technical reports. * Operate within the Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP), mandated by EGBC. *Qualifications: * * Bachelor?s Degree in Applied Science with focus on *Structural Engineering*. * 5-10 years of structural engineering experience. (Intermediate Position) * EIT - (Junior Position) * *P.Eng Designation through EGBC* - out of province designation may be considered. * Experience in design and field review services on concrete, steel, timber and masonry building projects. * Proficiency with structural analysis software including: ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, S-Concrete, and recent versions of AutoCAD are considered an asset. * Experience in bridge design utilizing CSA S6 and AASHTO will be considered an asset. * Strong verbal and written communication skills required. * Ability to work in a team environment with initiative and attention to detail.
