*Alberta Garage Builders* is a locally owned and operated construction company that builds well-designed and practical garage and garden suites. We create spaces that are comfortable and convenient for our customers. We are actively growing and looking for an *Estimator* to join our team! Do you have 2+ years of experience within a residential construction company? Are you familiar with construction of garages and garden suits or willing to learn? Then send your resume right away! *What you will do:* * Reviewing architectural and engineering plans to understand project specifications and requirements. * Developing detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects to ensure they remain financially viable. * Conducting research to gather current pricing information for materials and labour in the local market. * Creating formal cost estimation documents that outline all projected expenses for review by management or clients. * Keeping detailed records of estimates, proposals, and changes throughout the project lifecycle for future reference. * Collaborating with project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines. * Modifying estimates as project scopes change or new information becomes available, ensuring that all costs are accurately reflected. * Communicating and presenting estimates to sales representatives/assistants that work with clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. * Prepare reports of the work complete.
