Join our team in Walkerton, Ontario. *Full job description* The primary responsibility of the chef position is to ensure that all necessary menu preparations are performed daily. Knowledge of standard cooking methods and preparations of all food items. Performance of daily tasks in a timely fashion while achieving a high quality product. Must be able to handle pressure during peak business hours. Report to Company Executive Chef. *Responsibilities and Duties* The primary responsibilities of the role include: * Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and company guidelines. * Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times. * Support other service staff when needed to ensure the highest level of customer service standards. * Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant?s preventative maintenance programs. * Fully understand and comply with all health and safety requirements of the restaurant. * Arrive on time to your shift and be in correct uniform. * Opening/Closing/Side duties, as per restaurant guidelines. * Provide suggestions to the Manager as needed. * Any other duties required of you by your manager or fellow associates to enhance the guest experience. *Requirements* * Minimum 2 years in a similar role preferred * Previous industry experience required * Ability to stand for long periods of time * Ability to lift up to 50lbs * Ability to read and follow recipes * Excellent work ethic and positive team attitude * Valid Food Handler?s Certification * Only potential candidates will be contacted.
