Our goal is to cultivate a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the community we serve and aim to become.About the Opportunity:The Township is seeking expressions of interest for short-term administrative support assignments to provide coverage for various municipal departments while administrative staff are on vacation. Administrative support duties vary depending on the department and will include providing customer service, administrative, and clerical support. Potential duties may include: responding to telephone, counter, and email inquiries; creating letters and/or work orders; maintaining computerized records; paper and electronic records management; scheduling appointments and meetings; ordering office supplies; processing timesheets; and coding and processing invoices.Our Preferred Candidate:The ideal candidate will have high school graduation and one year of related administration, clerical, and/or reception experience. Other preferred qualifications include:Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook); Familiarity with administrative work methods and processes supplemented by some office administration training; Familiarity with municipal software programs (e.g. Diamond, Tempest, TabFusionRMS, FDM, PerfectMind) an asset; and, Ability to manage both paper and electronic records using a records classification system. Salary: $32.35 - $34.89 hourly plus 14% in lieu of benefits.Hours per week: Occasional shifts/variable hours dependent on vacation coverage needs, to a maximum of 35 hours per week. Workday schedule is typically between the hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
