Bornea Dynamics is hiring an electrical engineer with a background in wireless communications and signal processing to join our R&D team.
As a member of the R&D team at Bornea Dynamics the selected candidate will work on various projects from government and defense organizations in Canada and the UK. Candidates with a strong theoretical and practical experience in signal processing and wireless communications theory are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities :
* Design, develop, and optimize digital signal processing algorithms for various applications, such as HF communications, Spread Spectrum techniques, and Low Probability of Intercept signals.
* Perform extensive testing and validation of developed algorithms to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
* Collaborate with other team members on the software and hardware side for integration of your models into the overall project.
* Producing technical reports and presentations to document and communicate your designs.
* Modeling and simulation of signal processing algorithms.
* Ability to adapt your knowledge and skills to new projects.
Minimum Requirements :
* Master?s degree in electrical engineering, with a specialization in communications and signal processing.
* Proven experience in the areas of wireless communications and signal processing (combination of coursework and work experience).
* Knowledge of digital communication systems, spread spectrum, single and multi-carrier techniques, and modulation techniques such as QAM, and FSK.
* Proficient in MALTAB/Simulink, C, Python, and/or related signal processing programming languages.
* Knowledge of the sampling theorem and its application to data acquisition and signal analysis.
* Experience with modelling and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink.
* Experience with direct synthesizers and phased locked loops.
* Able to communicate and work well in a team environment.
Nice to Have :
* Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques pertinent to data and signal analysis.
* Prior experience with PCB design and layouts in Altium, Eagle, or similar tools.
* Experience with Software Defined Radios, and FPGA?s.
Software Experience :
* Extensive experience with MATLAB/Simulink is a must have.
* Experience with Altium Designer or similar tools for PCB layouts is a nice to have.
* Experience with Python.
