<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle commercial lines claims by telephone and correspondence. The candidate will direct field adjusters on a task basis. The candidate will participate in ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files. Regular travel to loss locations throughout the Thunder Bay territory is expected.</p><ul><li>Interviewing claimants and witnesses</li><li>Obtaining official documents</li><li>Comparing claims information with evidence</li><li>Determination of liability</li><li>Makes offer to claimants</li><li>Issue cheque</li><li>Dispose of salvage</li><li>Pursue subrogation</li><li>Accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files, including presentation of evidence at legal proceedings</li><li>Maintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense records</li><li>Work with manager to maintain client relations</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>2 years of technical experience in an insurance claims environment, with strong knowledge of property claims is required. Knowledge of commercial lines will be considered an asset.</li><li>Post-secondary education in an insurance related field</li><li><strong>Full license and CIP designation is preferred</strong></li><li>Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate and settle first and third party commercial lines claims</li><li>Proficient in CMS, including maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve records</li><li>Advanced computer skills including Office 365 and Windows 10</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service</li></ul><p> </p></div>Company Description<div>Opusing is a 100% Minority-owned and diversity-certified Digital Transformation and staffing firm that empowers startups, businesses, and corporations to leverage the power of Technology and Manpower to trigger unstoppable growth.
