Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Industrial/commercial (general). Work setting: Industrial plant. Tasks: Operate disinfection systems. Operate filtration and clarification systems. Operate oxidation systems. Operate pumping systems. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Take physico-chemical measurements on water and sludge. Analyze test results and instrument readings. Collect and test water samples for chemical and bacterial content. Collect waste and sewage samples. Complete and maintain plant logs and reports. Help with the installation, the assembly, and repairs to equipment. Make adjustments to plant equipment and systems. Transport and mix chemicals, and operate equipment used to unload chemicals. Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products. Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite. Set up chemical experiments, tests and analyses. Area of specialization: Start-up and testing. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel internationally. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
