At the heart of civic construction, you'll contribute to essential infrastructure projects that directly improve the lives of citizens and shape the city's landscape. Our Civic Construction division successfully completed over 50 development servicing projects last year, with more than half being large commercial projects. Despite handling this workload with just one crew, we've now expanded to two crews to better keep pace with the city's ongoing development As a Field Technician, you?ll work alongside a supportive and skilled team, where your technical expertise, leadership, and safety-first mindset will drive progress. The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:Completion of senior secondary school or its equivalent. BC EOCP Level I Certificate in Water Distribution Systems; and Wastewater Collection Systems. Minimum two years? previous experience in the installation and/or repair of water, and wastewater infrastructure. Valid BC Driver?s Licence - Class 5. For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. This job posting will be open until filled. The posting may close anytime after January 31, 2025 if a qualified candidate is found. A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position.
