*MYC Media* is seeking a skilled *WordPress Web Developer* to enhance and manage our company website. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, a keen eye for design, and the ability to implement effective solutions that improve user experience and drive conversions. You will be responsible for the full website development creation process, from design implementation to ongoing maintenance, ensuring a modern and secure online presence for both internal and client websites.
Please note that this is a *full-time on-site* position in *Mississauga, ON.*
*Schedule:* Monday to Friday.
*Salary:* $50,000 - $60,000 per year (BOE) +Benefits (after the completion of 3-month probation period).
*What your typical day at work will be like:*
_*WordPress Website Management:*_
* Overhaul and enhance the company website design, ensuring a modern, visually appealing, and user-friendly interface.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand design requirements, creating compelling visual elements that align with business objectives.
* Manage the website development creation process, including:
_*Planning and Research: *_
* Conduct thorough research on industry trends, user needs, and competitor analysis to inform design and functionality decisions.
* Define project scope, including goals, objectives, and deliverables for individual tasks.
_*Design Implementation:*_
* Create wireframes and mockups to visualize the layout and structure of the website before development begins.
* Use design tools to develop UI/UX elements that enhance user engagement and ensure a seamless user experience.
* Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal performance on various devices and screen sizes. ?
_*Development and Coding: *_
* Utilize HTML, CSS, and PHP to build and customize website features and functionalities according to project specifications.
* Integrate third-party APIs and plugins to enhance website capabilities.
* Conduct cross-browser testing to ensure consistent performance across all major browsers.
_*Quality Assurance and Testing:*_
* Perform comprehensive testing to identify and resolve any bugs or usability issues before the website launch.
* Collaborate with stakeholders for feedback and make necessary adjustments based on their input.
_*Deployment and Launch:*_
* Prepare the website for launch by migrating from staging to production, ensuring all content is correctly uploaded.
* Monitor the website post-launch to address any immediate issues and ensure optimal performance.
_*Maintenance and Optimization: *_
* Regularly update website content, plugins, and themes to ensure security and functionality.
* Conduct ongoing performance optimization, including speed enhancements, to maintain user engagement.
_*Landing Page Creation & Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):*_
* Develop conversion-focused landing pages with responsive design for seamless performance across all devices.
* Utilize data-driven analysis to implement A/B testing and CRO strategies that improve user engagement and boost conversion rates.
* Utilize Google Tag Manager to implement and manage tracking tags for accurate data collection on landing pages.
* Implement tracking tools such as Facebook Pixel and LinkedIn tags to enhance audience targeting and campaign effectiveness.
*What makes you an ideal fit for the role:*
* Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) to assist in creating visual elements.
* Proven experience in WordPress development, with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and PHP.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in web development, particularly in managing and enhancing WordPress websites.
* Strong knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and website design software.
* Familiarity with responsive design techniques to ensure optimal user experience across devices.
* Experience with developing and implementing conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies, including A/B testing.
