Our team is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable youth, offering them the guidance and care they need to succeed. *Position Overview* We are seeking highly experienced Child and Youth Workers (CYW) with a diploma in Child and Youth Work to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in working with at-risk youth, who require close attention, support, and understanding. This role is crucial in fostering a safe and structured environment within our foster homes. *Key Responsibilities* * Provide direct care and supervision to youth, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. * Build positive, trusting relationships with youth, helping them develop coping skills and resilience. * Collaborate with foster parents and other team members to implement individualized care plans. * Engage youth in therapeutic activities, life skills training, and recreational programs. * Respond effectively to crisis situations, offering guidance and de-escalation techniques. * Support youth in their academic and personal growth, acting as a positive role model. *Qualifications* * *Diploma in Child and Youth Work (CYW)* or equivalent credential. * Demonstrated experience working with at-risk youth, preferably in a foster care or residential setting. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to manage challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism. * A genuine passion for helping youth reach their full potential. *Why Join Us?* At Safe Harbours, you?ll have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and make a tangible impact on the lives of at-risk youth.
