DAILY OCCASIONAL TEACHERS (Elementary and Secondary) <p> <p>The Waterloo Catholic District School Board serves over 30,000 learners and provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12 and adult learners) across the Waterloo Region.<p>The Board conducts intentional recruitment and selection as it seeks to achieve a state of greater equity for employees and students and to diversify its workforce.<p>All qualified applicants are welcome and encouraged to apply and applicants may choose to indicate if they are from a group who has experienced racial or social discrimination. Aggregate data will be stored anonymously to support improvements to the Board?s hiring processes.<p><p>Qualifications <p><p> We invite applicants that meet ONE of the following criteria:<p> <p> <p> Qualified Ontario College of Teacher (OCT) Educators in Good Standing <p> New Faculty of Education Graduate from 2024 and you are awaiting your OCT Number <p> New Faculty of Education Graduate that will be graduating 2024/ 2025.<p> You have applied for or you currently hold an OCT transitional certificate.<p> Internationally Trained educators who have received their Ontario College of Teacher accreditation.<p> <p> <p> Working knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession<p> A practicing Catholic with a strong and active Catholic Faith life<p> Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques<p> Current in understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices<p> Effective classroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning environment for all student<p><p> <p>How to Apply <p>All applications must be submitted through Apply to Education. Certificate of Qualification (if applicable)<p> Most recent teacher performance appraisal summative reports OR practice teaching reports (if applicable)<p> Occasional Teacher Evaluation/Experienced Teacher Evaluation /New Teacher Induction Program reports (if applicable)<p><p>Optional Preferred Documents:<p><p> Catholic Pastoral Reference form - Click here for the Pastoral Reference Form<p><p>** A Pastoral Reference is not required at time of application. You will be provided with up to 24 months from date of hire to a permanent position to provide the pastoral reference documentation.
