Job Statement: · Promote the profitable sale of retail products through courteous and efficient service to customers. · Responsible for contributing to the overall success of Fierling Limited by fostering a spirit consistent with a successful and collaborative team. Job Specifications: * Sitting or standing, conversing with customers and staff, in-person and electronically. * Attend at and sit in meetings. * Late evening, early morning or weekend work will be required. * Good reasoning ability/logic is essential to ensure the most efficient allocation of time is exercised. * Must be alert and able to respond quickly, and appropriately, to various opportunities and seek out positive solutions for clients. * An ability to communicate well with all personality types, including customers, management, and suppliers? personnel. * A desire to help customers with product related questions * Fluency in English language (read, write, speak) is required. The environmental conditions in which the Store Supervisor will perform their duties shall be an indoor-outdoor environment. This position will require walking through the store, up and down stairs and in outdoor areas. Qualifications: * 2 years experience in a retail or retail management role. * Cash handling and POS knowledge would be an asset. * A friendly outgoing and positive attitude. * Ability to work independently and lead a team. * Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. * Experience training and mentoring a team. * A willingness and desire to develop skills and knowledge. · An ability to communicate well with all personality types including customers, management, yard personnel and suppliers? personnel. * Must be comfortable meeting and developing trust with new customers, building professional relationships with new and return customers and able to cope effectively with changing situations and business environments. * The ability to work in compliance with the Provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Safety Regulations and Policies of Fierling Limited. Essential Functions: · The Store Supervisor is responsible for the successful follow through in the following areas at Village Home Hardware: - Oversee day-to-day operation -Organize tasks and to-do lists for employees -Delegate responsibilities -Oversee shipping needs -Over see price changes, stock outs, shortages and damaged inventory - Monitor contractor sales, pricing and stock -Ensure that every customer is greeted in a friendly, respectful, and genuine way Listen attentively to customers situations and help the customer resolve those situations or needs with the most appropriate solution ? demonstrating a thorough knowledge of product options and features wherever possible. - In conjunction with the Human Resource Specialist manage employee related needs -Training, coaching, reviews, recruitment, disciplinary actions, and employee concerns -Foster an environment of support and continued growth -Ensure all personnel follow Company Policies and Procedures, as well as perform as per their specific Position Agreements/Employment Agreements. * Perform other job-related duties as required. * Create and promote Fierling Limited?s image through the exercising of sound and ethical business practices as they relate to customers, employees, vendors, and the general public. * This includes ensuring that the highest quality of service and respect for individuals is a minimum standard, with zero tolerance, and that customer satisfaction is held as the highest priority within the department. * Maintain the utmost of confidentiality of all Fierling Limited and customer records and information. * Continually adhere to, re-enforce, and promote Fierling Limited?s ?Our Values?.
