Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Sheet metal fabrication shop. Metal products manufacturing company. Industrial facility or establishment. Marine works. Industrial. Construction. Tasks: Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products. Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually . Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers. Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials. Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Load and unload vehicle. Read and interpret work orders. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Area of work experience: Paint spraying. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Handling heavy loads. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Tight deadlines.
