Planner 1Permanent Full-TimeThe Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) is seeking applicants for a permanent, full-time entry- level Planner role. This position works under the direction of the Planning Manager and the General Manager of Planning and Development to provide the public with planning information and assistance as well as providing advice to the Board of Directors and its committees and commissions, outside agencies, senior staff, and the public. The position works collectively with all employees of the ACRD. The ACRD is situated in the heart of Vancouver Island. The region includes the municipalities of Port Alberni, Tofino, and Ucluelet, ten First Nations including the Treaty Nations of Huu-ay-aht, Uchucklesaht, Yuu?u?i??at?, and Toquaht, and six electoral areas, all-encompassing the West Coast?s most dramatic and majestic landscapes. The rate of pay is $43.65 per hour (2024 rates).
