We are focused on hiring only those exceptional individuals who value safety in the workplace and remain committed to the collective goal of maintaining our Aecon ?zero injury? culture. *PURPOSE OF THE POSITION* Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Millwright Apprentices and Journeyman will be responsible for providing full cycle, in depth knowledge and support for the profession of Millwright to ensure Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. achieves their general and specific project objectives. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES* · Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures · Operate rig equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery and parts · Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts (often to within a fraction of a millimetre tolerance) · Align and test equipment and adjust · Perform preventive and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts · Trouble-shoot hydraulic, pneumatic and programmable logic controls · Tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement part. *OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* · Review work assignments and job procedures to ensure safe and reliable work execution · Perform field work to a high quality and provide thorough follow up with proper and efficient documentation of work · Perform proactive maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs for a wide range of Instrumentation and control equipment, such as Hydraulic operated valves, various pressure and flow measurements, radiation density Gauges, Radar level transmitters, CCTV monitoring systems, Computerized control systems *KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS* · The ability to pay careful attention to details · Good communication and reading skills · physical strength and stamina · good co-ordination and manual dexterity · the ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans and blueprints · the ability to comprehend and trouble-shoot mechanical systems · the ability to get along with and sometimes supervise the work of others · the ability to keep up to date with changing technology. *PHYSICAL DEMANDS* · Repetitive movement · Able to perform in a fast-paced environment · Manual dexterity · Able to work in all weather conditions and environments Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.80-$48.00 per hour Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Schedule: * Monday to Friday Application question(s): * Are you willing to work night shift?
