Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Long-haul. Provincial/territorial. Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel cross-border. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Sitting. Experience: Will train.- LocationAbbotsford, BC
