Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Coordinate access and use of computer networks. Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks and computer workstations and peripheral equipment. Monitor the performance of computer systems and networks. Troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade web server hardware and software. Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software and operating system software. Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers. Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations. Supervise technical staff. Computer and technology knowledge: Development and operations (DevOps). Networking software. Networking hardware. File management software. Information technology.
