Are you looking for an opportunity to work with a diverse and innovative team of AI experts and civic leaders? If you answered yes to these questions, then you might be the ideal candidate for the term position with the City?s AI program. The AI program is a cross-functional initiative that aims to leverage AI technologies to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and equity of City services and operations. Reporting to the Productivity & Analytics Solutions Manager, the Senior AI Developer role is ideal for a developer who excels in a collaborative, dynamic and fast-paced project environment. You will work on various AI projects that address the city?s priorities, such as transportation, environment, health, and social services. You will also collaborate with the City?s AI partners, such as academic institutions, industry leaders, and community organizations. RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will:Lead and perform the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support of AI solutions for the city?s challenges. Conduct data analysis, data cleaning, data visualization, and data modeling using various tools and frameworks. Research and evaluate the latest AI trends, techniques, and best practices. Document and present the results and findings of AI projects. Communicate and coordinate with the AI program team and other stakeholders. Complete work assignments and react to situations and problems by taking action and balancing priorities. Work exceptionally well independently or in a team setting supporting our collaborative work environment. Assist other staff in performing their duties. Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONSThis position requires: A degree in a related field from a recognized institution plus four years related experience or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate has proven hands on experience working with:AI agents, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or a related domain. Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) Python Common AI frameworks and libraries Various data sources, formats, and platforms Microsoft suite of products, including Copilot Studio, Azure ML Studio, Azure APIM, Azure OpenAI, as well as Power Automate, Flow, and REST API?s. Deployment in a production environment CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTCompletion of a Police Information Check. Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. This position offers a hybrid schedule - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
