*Overview* *About Us:* Chronicle Brewing, an established craft brewery in the Durham region for over 6 years, is opening a fast-casual craft beer bar in Downtown Oshawa , combining excellent food with quality, locally brewed beers. We are a dynamic and community-focused establishment looking to bring on a Taphouse Manager for front of house (FoH) to ensure a top-tier experience for our guests. *Job Summary:* The Taphouse manager will manage the FoH team, serve customers, oversee till operations, and schedule staff to keep the taproom running smoothly. This role includes working closely with the ownership team to set performance goals, provide outstanding customer service, and ensure efficient operations during each shift. *Responsibilities:* * Supervise, motivate, and support FoH staff, ensuring a high level of service quality. * Provide support to staff, including serving and checkout. * Oversee till management, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and reporting. * Schedule and manage staff shifts to optimize coverage and service levels. * Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback. * Regularly meet with owners and kitchen staff to discuss goals, operations, and improvement opportunities. * Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the taproom. * Support staff in providing a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for guests. *Qualifications:* * Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a fast-casual or taproom setting. * Strong customer service and team leadership skills. * Knowledge of craft beer is a plus. * Proficiency in till and cash management procedures. * Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask effectively. * Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. *Benefits:* * Competitive hourly wage * Paid vacation and sick days * Health care spending account * Employee discounts on food and drinks * Opportunity for advancement * Be part of a passionate, beer-loving team!
