*Job Overview* Sweets from the Earth (SFTE) is a commercial bakery operation at Steeles W. and Keele, specializing in vegan, nut free and non-GMO baked goods. As one of the fastest growing companies in Canada, we are looking for experienced, well-rounded candidates to join our growing team. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Associate to expand our Warehouse team. *Full-Time* *Shift:* Monday to Friday 4 pm to Midnight *Reports to*: Shipping Supervisor and Production Supervisor *Duties and Responsibilities * · Pick products from the freezer and palletize orders. · Pick frozen baked goods from freezers and bring them outside for building orders. · Put products away in freezers. · Organize product and pallet placement in the freezers by rotating lot codes based on manufacture date. Ensure the following take place: * Accurate recording of lot codes in the tablets. * All products are picked and put away based on FIFO methodology. * Correct quantity of products is picked. * Food safety procedures are being adhered to at all time. · Isolate any product that does not meet the established quality standards. · Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and Shipping Supervisor. · Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition. · Report lift equipment maintenance issues. · Clean up any spills in the freezers. · Communicate with Team Lead about stock issues or any other problems. · Act as back up shipper to load orders into trucks. · Other duties as assigned. *Qualifications* · Must be comfortable working in walk-in freezers (-18 C) to pick products. · Must hold a reach truck license. · Must be comfortable working with tablets. · Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, time management and attention to detail. · Must be coachable and efficient. · High School Education required. · Must be able to stand for long periods of time · Must be able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 lbs. · Pallet building will take place outside of the freezers. · Must own certified steel toe shoes. *Location*: Keele and Steeles W area - 10 minute walk from York U Station. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 ? 40 per week Benefits: * Extended health care * On-site parking Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Evening shift * Night shift * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * North York, ON M3J 2N7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Experience: * warehouse: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Class 5 Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationNorth York, ON
