Position: Part-Time Security GuardSite: Queen's University Libraries (Patrol) - 101 Union StHours: Saturday, Sunday 1145-1900 Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Payrate: $20.60Posting Date: November 14, 2024Closing Date: November 22, 2024 Job Description:Greet and interact with staff, students, and visitors politely and professionallyEnsure all staff, visitors, and vendors are following the protocols for Queens UniversityProvide assistance as necessary to staff and studentsAssist visitors as necessary with wayfinding as requiredProactive, consistent patrols of the campusAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with maintaining the utmost professionalismStrong interpersonal skills, flexible, and customer service orientation Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situationsAble to understand and follow specific instructions and proceduresReport writing and note takingSurveillance monitoring Additional job duties as assignedMinimum Requirements: Valid Security License for the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)Proficient in English (both oral and written)Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset6+ months in customer servicePrevious security experience is preferredMust be able to commit to the position for 6 monthsMust have Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) and Use of Force Certification (UOF)Paladin Security will pay for MOAB and UOF certification on a commitment contract (minimum six (6) months. Upon Hiring: Must be able to attend four (4) days of MOAB and UOF Certification class during the week.
