In addition to producing bulk canola oil and meal, our food products division produces a wide variety of canola-based margarines, oils, and shortenings for the industrial, retail and foodservice markets. Working with Richardson opens to door to a world of possibility.  We currently have an opportunity for a Line Assistant at our Oakville, ON location.  Responsibilities:Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rulesParticipate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:Always using the required personal protective equipmentEnsuring that authorized work is completed safelyParticipating actively in training, and other health and safety initiativesReporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedureProvide assistance to production line operatorsAssist with the line setup.Check product labels and codesStack finished products onto skidsLabel and re-label productHousekeeping dutiesOther duties as assigned Qualifications:Grade twelve diploma or G.E.D.Flexible to work AM or PM shift.Must pass pre-employment physical demonstrating ability to perform all physical aspects of job: lifting up to 50 lbsPrevious experience is an asset Richardson International provides an excellent compensation package consisting of competitive salary, pension, a flexible benefits plan and training and career development opportunities. Interested candidates should click the APPLY TO THIS POSITION icon to apply online by December 5, 2024. Richardson International values diversity in the workplace.
