Posting #2425-425 Alexis Park Elementary <p> <p><p>1.0 FTE Grade 4/5 Teacher <p> This is a temporary contract position. <p>This position is effective December 11, 2024 and will continue until June 27, 2025 or until the return of the incumbent whichever comes first. <p>While all applicants will be considered, preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-declare Indigenous ancestry. <p> The starting annual salary for a school teacher position ranges from $60,000 to $110,000, with placement on the range based on the length of service and qualifications in accordance in accordance with the collective agreement. Positions of Special Responsibility receive an additional pay allowance in accordance with the collective agreement based on the levels 1, 2, or 3.<p>Please contact Carol-Ann Leidloff, Principal, if you have questions relating to this position.<p><p> <p><p>Intermediate Teacher <p><p> BC Teaching Certificate<p> membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch and eligibility for Teacher<p> Qualification Service card.<p> recognized degree in<p> elementary education<p> certification at the<p> intermediate level<p> training in intermediate<p> education<p> current demonstrated<p> ability to teach at an<p> intermediate level<p> excellent classroom<p> management skills<p> Demonstrated current<p> knowledge of the subject area, including Big Ideas, curricular<p> competencies, content and appropriate resources<p> experience and skill<p> working with behavioural challenged students<p> experience with current<p> literacy practices - including the District WCRA and PM Benchmarks<p> the ability to<p> differentiate instruction based on student needs<p> strong interpersonal, communication<p> and collaboration skills<p> sound knowledge of<p> technologies and their educational application<p> an understanding and<p> appreciation of the importance of First Nations Language & culture<p> knowledge of current<p> instructional practices and the ability to adapt curriculum, programs and<p> instruction to meet the diverse needs of students<p> demonstrated ability to<p> support students, consult with parents and work collaboratively<p> ability to integrate<p> use of technology to support instruction, web-based reporting and<p> communicating with the school community<p> interest in<p> contributing to the professional community at the school<p> Demonstrate current<p> understanding of culturally responsive learning environment and assessment<p> practices- LocationVernon, BC
