*Position : Shipping Supervisor* *Location : *180 DESBRISAY AVE, MONCTON NB *Permanent employment ,Full time* *Wages* : $30/hr *Working Hours* : 40 hrs/week , Monday to Saturday *Languages* : English *Education* : Business Diploma *Experience* : 2-3 years *Onsite *: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. *Supervision*: 3-4 people *Duties and responsibilities:* * Coordinate and oversee the work of clerks handling shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and inventory management of materials, parts, and products. This includes managing purchasing transactions, dispatching crews, scheduling transportation, and handling related logistical tasks. * Plan, organize, and supervise logistical operations, establishing work schedules and procedures, resolving operational issues, preparing reports, and coordinating with other supply-chain departments. * Train staff on job responsibilities and company policies, ensuring compliance with operational standards. * Requisition necessary supplies and materials to ensure smooth operations. * Ensure proper functioning of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, and arrange maintenance and repairs as needed. * May perform tasks typically assigned to workers under supervision when required. * Review and approve shipping-related documents such as invoices, purchase orders, and bills of lading to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. * Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve shipping efficiency and reduce costs. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and transportation laws. *Computer Skills : *MS Outlook, Excel, MS word *Work conditions and physical capabilities :* * Fast-paced environment ,Tight deadlines, Attention to detail *Weight handling :* * Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) *Personal suitability:* * Accurate ,Client focus, Efficient interpersonal skills * Excellent oral skills, Flexibility, Initiative,Judgement,Organized,Team player Send your resume and covering letter at hr@cargoatlantic.ca Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Extended health care * On-site parking Work Location: In person- LocationMoncton, NB
