Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements
  • Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings
  • Participate in field surveys, inspections or technical investigations
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings
  • Prepare project schedules
  • Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materials
  • Provide consultation services to government and other organizations
  • Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services
  • Prepare detailed drawings of sites
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings of sites
