<p>Maintenance Team <p>Maria Montessori Academy is an independent school located in the Gordon Head area of Victoria.<p>We are seeking a hardworking, conscientious person to join our Maintenance and Janitorial team. <p>This is a full time position, and there is some flexibility on hours. The successful candidate will join a team comprised of two full time maintenance/janitorial staff and share the task of cleaning and maintaining our school building and grounds.<p>Qualifications:<p><p> 18 months experience working in a similar job<p> Clean Criminal record check<p> Grade 12 graduation or equivalent<p><p> <p>The successful candidate must be:<p><p> Friendly and communicative<p> Reliable / punctual and able to complete tasks without supervision<p><p> <p><p> detail oriented<p> Have excellent communication skills<p> Organized<p><p> <p>Work conditions & physical capabilities:<p><p> Repetitive tasks<p> Handling heavy loads<p> Physically demanding<p> Bending, crouching, kneeling<p><p> <p>Tasks:<p><p> Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallway, floors, and stairs<p> Empty trash cans and other waste containers<p> Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings<p> Make adjustments and minor repairs to various systems within the school<p> Perform minor repairs on furniture and appliances<p> Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies<p> Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens<p> Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures<p> Work with minimal supervision<p> Clean ice and snow from walkways and parking areas and clean parking lot<p> Perform general field and site maintenance<p> Cut grass<p><p> <p>Resumes and cover letters should be directed to the principal of Maria Montessori Academy by email: miss.christine@mariamontessoriacademy.net and/or miss.haley@mariamontessoriacademy.net<p>We thank all interested candidates, but only those shortlisted for an interview will be contacted.<p>- LocationVictoria, BC
