*Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client files from individual tax returns to full cycle accounting for business clients. This role requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping, personal and corporate income taxes, and accounting principles, as well as proficiency in accounting software. *Duties* * Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports. * Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. * Prepare annual and quarterly GST returns. * Perform bookkeeping activities. * Prepare bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of accounts. * Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. * Assist in preparation of Compilation Engagement financial statements * Prepare personal and corporate income tax returns * Utilize accounting software such as Sage50, QuickBooks and Excel * Other duties as assigned *Skills* * Proficiency in payroll processing and related functions. * Experience with bank reconciliation processes. * Strong analytical skills for account analysis and financial reporting. * Proficient in using accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage50, Excel, TaxPrep) * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
