As a Animal Health Technologist here at Westbrook Veterinary Clinic, you will play a major role in providing quality health care to animals. Several duties including observing and assessing animals on a daily, performing sample collections, analyzing and reporting lab results, prepping surgery patients and monitoring recovery, utilizing computer programs, making sure equipment is present for certain test and sterile, & other duties assigned. Desired skills - Positive work attitude, good communication & teamwork Qualifications: - Diploma in Animal Health Technology with the ability to be professionally registered in the Province of Alberta and membership in the Alberta Veterinary Medicine Association (ABVMA). - Passionate in care towards animals and clients - Complete assignments independently - Remaining calm and keeping composure during difficult and stressful situations. Expected start date: 2024-02-05 Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Company events * Extended health care * On-site parking * Paid time off Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Education: * Secondary School (required) Experience: * veterinary technician: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-11-25- LocationEdmonton, AB
