We are looking for a produce clerk to join our team. Healthyway Natural Foods has been in business for over 25 years and employees around 35 people in our community. Previous experience & an interest in local & organic produce is an asset! This is a position that has opportunity for advancement and more advanced responsibilities for a suitable candidate that either has previous experience or can demonstrate a strong aptitude for learning in this department. *Responsibilities:* Assist with receiving orders and ensuring order and invoice accuracy. Ensuring that back stock and walk-in cooler is organized, accurately labelled and dated. Ensuring product quality and communicating with the manager on product that requires credit. Stock, cull, and maintain displays consistently throughout shift. Prepare produce for wet rack. Providing outstanding customer service. Maintaining cleanliness of the dept. Adhere to food safe standards. *Skills required:* Positive & friendly attitude Strong work ethic Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs Able to multi-task & prioritize Highly motivated *Benefits:* Competitive wages Extended health packages Store discount Job Type: Permanent Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30 per week Benefits: * Extended health care * Store discount Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Weekends as needed Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Experience: * produce dept.: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-12-04- LocationCampbell River, BC
