*TeraSpan Networks Inc* is a full-service telecommunications contractor with locations throughout British Columbia. We are currently recruiting for a *TELECOMMUNICATIONS TECHNICIAN* to join our Burnaby based team. At TeraSpan, you will be a key member of our network deployment and maintenance team and you have opportunities for training in all facets of telecommunications network construction and maintenance. At TeraSpan you will be a key member of our full-service team and your contribution will be critical to the success of the organization. At TeraSpan we offer: · *Competitive wages and benefits* · *flexible working arrangements * · *full training in telecommunications network installations * · *opportunities to advance as the company grows* · *opportunities for relocation within BC* *The primary responsibilities of the Burnaby team are as follows:* · Telecommunication network installation ? both traditional installation methods and micro-trenching · Network maintenance and repair ? maintenance and repair of our existing telecommunications network in Vancouver. *We prefer to hire technicians with the following experience but we are willing to train if you have a strong desire to learn:* · fiber optic splicing and testing experience · telecommunications network construction experience · network maintenance and troubleshooting experience *Minimum required qualifications* · Grade 12 or equivalent required · Clean class 5 drivers license · Ability to lift 60lbs · Aptitude for working with small tools and equipment · Ability to travel for out-of-town projects as required · Positive attitude and willingness to learn Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision care Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * On call * Weekends as needed Experience: * telecommunications: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Class 5 license (less than 6 demerits) or equivalent (required) Willingness to travel: * 25% (preferred) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2024-12-01- LocationBurnaby, BC
