Capital Gear Ltd. is a wholesale remanufacturer and distributor of new & rebuilt truck and equipment parts. We specialize in drivetrain units and parts for heavy duty trucks and off-highway equipment. We have a well-trained team of people with the ability to provide transmission, differential & transfer case and steering rebuilding services. Currently Capital Gear Ltd. is seeking hard working, mechanically inclined individual to fill a position as an ENTRY LEVEL Machinist in our machine shop. This candidate must be organized, be able to work with little supervision, be reliable, self-motivated and be able to multitask in a fast paced working environment. Responsibilities: · Learn and performs related duties as required. · Ability to use measuring instruments: inside micrometer, outside micrometer, depth gauge pocket dial indicators. · Ability to learn and maintain equipment; diagnose and make minor repairs · Ability to learn cast welding repairs · Ability to learn and operate Heckert mill, manual lathe Competencies: · Basic math skills · Organization skills · Ability to work effectively alone and within a team · Strong Ability to multi-task with effective time-management · Strong communication skills · Strong organizational skills · Strong work ethic, enthusiastic, and personable While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
