Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Veterinary clinic. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery. Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery. Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian. Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian. Counsel clients on animal health care. Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals. Provide wound and bandage care. Provide estimate of costs. Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images. Professionalism in customer service. Administer medications. Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia. Type of product: Animal food.
