*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and installation, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role involves working with various hand tools and machinery to create and install metal components for a variety of applications. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. *Responsibilities* * Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products according to specifications. * Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. * Utilize hand tools and machinery for cutting, bending, and shaping metal sheets. * Perform flooring installation, including tile laying, as needed on projects. * Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged sheet metal components. * Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution. * Apply caulking and perform drywall work as part of the installation process. * Conduct construction painting tasks when required, ensuring a clean finish on all projects. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. *Qualifications* * Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or in a similar role within the construction industry. * Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. * Strong knowledge of hand tools used in sheet metal fabrication and installation. * Experience with flooring installation techniques, including tile laying. * Familiarity with drywall installation and repair processes. * Ability to perform caulking tasks effectively for sealing joints and seams. * Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
