Mississauga Steel Mart is looking for a hard working, team oriented DZ delivery driver to add to our team. We are looking for someone over the age of 25 with customer service and driving experience with a full 'G' license, and the ability to operate a 26 foot flatbed truck delivering steel to customers across southern Ontario daily. *Delivery Driver Job Responsibilities:* * Delivers high-quality products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. * Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers. * Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy. * Inspects delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process. * Contacts customers to confirm delivery details. * Determines placement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries, and conducts safety reviews. * Maintains delivery logs and records. _This is a full time job. Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm with the possibility of longer shifts depending on traffic._ _Benefits available after three month probation period._ *Delivery Driver Skills / Qualifications:* * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities * Familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and routes * Highly responsible & reliable * Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work cohesively as part of a team * Ability to lift minimum 50lbs * Must be punctual * Must be able to communicate with your team if there are any issues *Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:* * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent * Valid driver?s license * Clean driving record *If granted an interview, candidates must supply a CVOR and a drivers abstract no older than 30 days.* Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 50 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * On-site parking * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 10 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * heavy truck driving: 1 year (required) Language: * English (required) Licence/Certification: * Driving Licence (required) Work Location: In person- LocationMississauga, ON
