Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Compute dimensions, sizes, shapes and tolerances of workpieces . Inspect final products. Set up machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders. Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Program CNC machine tools. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Tool and Die Maker Trade Certification. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you currently a student?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?. What is the highest level of study you have completed?.
