<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Tundra Site Services is looking for a Machinist with recent experience in line boring for a client in the NWT.</p><p>The line boring work would be a combination of shop and field. When line boring work isn't available, the position requires providing general support to the millwrights in a mining environment. This contract position has long-term potential for the right candidate and our client is immediately ready for support.</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br />• JM Machinist; other trades may apply if they have substantial and verifiable experience with line boring<br />• Recent line boring experience, ideally in both field and shop environments (unit to be operated Climax BB5000)<br />• No Lathe or Mill on-site; line boring is the main tasking<br />• Mechanically strong, willing/able to assist millwrights or work on other mechanical work when machining is not required<br />• Willingness to work indoors/outdoors, dayshift or nightshift<br />• Ability to meet all pre-screening requirements including criminal record check, drug test, and medical<br />• A strong commitment to site safety policy and procedures<br />• Strong verifiable references from previous employers</p><p><strong>BENEFITS:</strong><br />• 12hr work days<br />• Competitive wages<br />• Tools provided by the client - must bring own CSA boots and indoor/outdoor work clothes (fire-retardant not required)<br />• Main charter pickup points are from Calgary or Yellowknife; if additional flights are required this may be discussed and considered.<br />• Fly-in camp, flights and meals provided, typical shift duration 2 weeks<br />• Our client's permanent camps are well-serviced and organized with excellent food, facilities, and safety programs</p><p>Payroll Employees or Independent Contractors (Owner/Operators with LTD or INC. company) are welcome to apply.</p><p>If your availability and experience make you, or someone you know, a great fit for this type of opportunity, please apply to this job posting or through our website <span class="long-word">www.tundrasiteservices.com.</span></p><p>We look forward to hearing from you - thank you for your consideration.</p></div>Company Description<div>Tundra Site Services is supplier of specialty industrial manpower services to clients across Canada and the Northern Territories.
