Design and construct low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase service for single or multimeter installations. Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits. Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations. Troubleshoot and isolate faults. Connect power to audio and visual equipment. Install surface mount and/or overhead cables. Install power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems. Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs. Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Commission systems and components. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Electrician Trade Certification. Working at heights training. Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate. Confined Space Entry Training. Construction Electrician Red Seal Certificate. Types of systems: Plumbing, cold water and drain lines. Equipment and machinery experience: Generators. Conventional electrical devices. High voltage equipment. Motors and controls. Solid state devices. Hand tools. HVAC. Area of work experience: Quality assurance or control. Inspection or testing specialization: Electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring. Area of specialization: Emergency power system. Lighting system.
