You will be responsible for translating project and product requirements into safe, easy to use and efficient designs and modules. Additionally, you will develop, build, and test systems and modules, and occasional project management.</p><p>Duties and Responsibilities</p><ul><li>• Participate in concept design to achieve quality final product design</li><li>• Participate in design reviews, product validation and estimates</li><li>• Utilizes quality assurance processes including drawing reviews, design reviews, DFMEA, etc.</li><li>• Supply relevant information to help with BOMs and engineering masters</li><li>• Provide technical and engineering support</li><li>• Ensure quality control and cost efficiencies</li><li>• Exercises individual judgment and initiative in the application of engineering principles, techniques, and methods.</li><li>• Participates in build and test of prototypes</li><li>• Frequently communicates with sales, production, vendors, and other engineering departments.</li><li>• Plans and directs work for engineers, drafters, and coop students on assigned projects.</li><li>• Designs and optimizes mechanical components and assemblies.</li><li>• Develops drawings with consideration for manufacturing techniques.</li><li>• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality assurance processes and practices.</li><li>• Mentor and train junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices.<p> </p></li></ul><p><span class="long-word">Education/Skills/Experience</span></p><ul><li>University degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience required</li><li>Mechanical Engineering experience of 10+ years related to consulting, design, and support of manufacturing industry and automation industry</li><li>Proficient in 3D CAD modeling - SolidWorks preferred</li><li>GD&T</li><li>EPDM experience is a plus</li><li>FMEA experience is an asset</li><li>Excellent problem solving and time management skills</li><li>Valid Driver's License and Passport</li><li>Ability to travel up to 15% of the time</li></ul><p> </p></div></div>
