Job Summary:The Internal Medicine Program at Newfoundland & Labrador Health Services (NL Health Services) invites applicants interested in a full-time, salaried Hospitalist in the Division of Internal Medicine at the St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's, NL. The Hospitalist will work closely with an Internal Medicine Specialist. Under such supervision, providing services in chronic disease management, acute inpatient care, long term care, palliative care, respite care, and emergency care/patient stabilization. This position is accountable to the Clinical Chief of the Medicine Program and will work under the support of an Internal Medicine specialist and will be responsible for inpatient care (include arranging investigations/family meetings/availability to review patients during working hours). The position will provide inpatient care and onsite call coverage for Internal Medicine. The opportunity of Hospitalist is open to physicians with a background in Family Medicine.Required QualificationsTo be considered candidates must hold a MDEligible for licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL)Family Medicine eligibility requirements can be found here: https://cpsnl.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Family-Medicine-Flow-Chart-August-2023.pdf Satisfy credentialing requirements of Eastern Health including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check. Remuneration : Remuneration is competitive and in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association Memorandum of Agreement and MCP Fee Schedule.
