Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Asset languages: Mandarin. Hindi. Italian. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Private practice. Tasks: Clean teeth. Diagnose dental diseases . Examine patients' teeth, gums and surrounding tissue. Hire and train staff. Instruct patients on oral hygiene . Plan dental health treatment. Restore, extract and replace diseased and decayed teeth. Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments. Supervise staff. Design bridgework, fit dentures and provide appliances. Write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for use by denturists and dental technicians. Act as consultants to other dentists. Knowledge of licensing regulations. Consult with government regulatory and licensing agencies to ensure conformance to provincial standards. Fabricate and repair crowns, bridges or implants. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. National Dental Examining Board of Canada Certification. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Eligible for professional liability insurance. Immunization records. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Fast-paced environment. Ability to distinguish between colours. Repetitive tasks. Work under pressure. Physically demanding.
