Unionville College is offering an exciting and fun-filled March Break Camp for children aged 3 to 12. Our camp provides a wide range of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises. We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our camp team to ensure a memorable experience for all participants.
*Position Overview:*
As a March Break Camp Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily camp activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for campers, and providing positive leadership. You will work closely with fellow camp staff to implement camp programs and foster a sense of community and fun among campers.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor games.
* Assist in maintaining ratios and supporting campers during swimming activities at a nearby pool (water depth is knee to waist high).
* Implement the camp schedule and lead activities, ensuring participation and inclusivity.
* Maintain a safe environment for all campers by following safety guidelines and first-aid procedures.
* Encourage teamwork, creativity, and a positive camp experience for all participants.
* Assist with the setup and cleanup of camp areas before and after activities.
* Communicate effectively with fellow camp staff, campers, and parents.
* Provide support for campers who may need extra attention or assistance.
*Qualifications:*
* Must be available to work from March 7th to March 14th, 2025, between the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
* Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred.
* Comfortable supervising children in swimming environments (knee-to-waist-high water).
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage groups of children with patience and enthusiasm.
* CPR and First Aid certification is an asset.
* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
